Geoffrey Beene Grey Flannel Eau de Toilette 120ml is a powdery, violet-rich men's chypre — a 1976 classic composed by perfumer André Fromentin and the FiFi-Award winning men's fragrance of its launch year. Inspired by the soft fabric and quiet sophistication of grey flannel suiting, it opens with green galbanum, neroli, petitgrain, bergamot and lemon, drifts into a distinctive heart of violet, iris, geranium, mimosa and sage, and settles onto a deep, classical chypre base of oakmoss, vetiver, cedar, tonka bean and almond. About Geoffrey Beene The Geoffrey Beene name belongs to the eponymous American fashion designer, one of the most respected couturiers of mid-20th-century New York. Beene was famous for his minimalist tailoring, and Grey Flannel — his first fragrance — became one of the most successful and long-running men's perfumes of the 1970s, still recognised by fragrance enthusiasts today as a landmark violet chypre.
