Frequently Asked Questions Q: What does "hand-tufted" mean?Skilled artisans use a tufting gun to punch wool yarn through a canvas backing by hand, row by row, then finish and trim the pile. It's a handmade construction that allows for soft, detailed patterns like this scalloped design. Q: Why choose wool over a synthetic pile?Wool is naturally resilient, stain-resistant and hypoallergenic. Its fibres bounce back after being compressed, so the rug holds its shape and look even with daily footsteps. Q: Does this rug shed? Some initial shedding is normal for hand-tufted wool rugs and settles down after a few months of regular vacuuming. Q: Is it suitable for a staircase or busy hallway?Yes — the dense wool pile is built to hold up well underfoot, though we still recommend a rug pad for grip and extra cushioning on stairs. Q: How do I clean spills?Blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, and use professional cleaning for deeper stains. Q: Can I get a custom length?Yes, just share your preferred dimensions and we'll have it made to order. Q: How long does delivery take?Ready-to-ship sizes: 12–15 days. Custom sizes: 25–35 days.
