Standard-Duty Output for Everyday Residential Wells The Flint & Walling 7 GPM Commander Plus stainless steel pump end is sized for the most common residential well output, moving 7 gallons per minute at 1 HP for households that run a shower, laundry, and irrigation zone without a noticeable pressure drop. It is a straightforward mid-range replacement for aging pump ends on wells producing 7 GPM or more. Corrosion Resistance That Outlasts Carbon Steel A heavy-wall stainless steel shell, cable guard, and hex drive shaft stand up to iron and sulphur content that eats through standard pump housings within a few seasons. Noryl impellers and diffusers resist scale buildup, and the stainless suction screen on the motor bracket keeps grit out of the staging without restricting intake flow. Verify well recovery is at least 7 GPM before sizing the pump this way, and set the pump depth with enough margin below the drawdown level to avoid cycling on low water. A licensed well contractor should confirm wire gauge and control box requirements for the run length. Ideal for typical single-family homes on wells producing 7 GPM or better, where a 1 HP motor covers normal daily demand without oversizing the system.
