Evolution Aqua K1 Media is a high-performance filter media engineered specifically for pond filtration systems, focusing on enhancing the nitrification cycle. The K1 Media is designed to optimise the active surface area, facilitating the colonisation of beneficial bacteria necessary for reducing ammonia and nitrite levels in pond water. Its innovative design not only supports the growth of bacterial colonies but also promotes self-cleaning, allowing the media to maintain maximum effectiveness with minimal maintenance. The K1 Media operates by allowing automatic shedding of older bacterial colonies, thereby providing space for younger, more active bacteria to thrive. This natural lifecycle aids in maintaining a balanced eco-system within your pond. By moving freely within the filter, K1 Media prevents clogs, which are common in static media systems, ensuring a continuous and efficient filtration process. Perfect for retrofitting existing pond filters, Evolution Aqua’s K3 variant accommodates larger systems with ease, handling substantial feeding rates while maintaining water quality. Key Features: Maximum active surface area for bacteria growth. Self-cleaning motion eliminates the need for regular maintenance. Facilitates efficient ammonia and nitrite removal. Compatible with both new and existing filtration systems. K3 Media variant ideal for higher feeding rates. Evolution Aqua K1 Media provides a reliable and efficient solution for maintaining pristine pond conditions, promoting a healthy aquatic environment. Its specialised design supports bacterial activity that is crucial for water purification, combining performance with practical design to keep your filter running at its best. Specifications: 50 Litres of K1 Media processes up to 250 grammes of food per day. K3 Media processes up to 225 grammes of food per day.
