Evolution Aqua has introduced the K+ Sinking Media, an advanced solution in filtration technology, ideal for biological pond filters and specifically in moving bed bio reactors. Developed through extensive research, this British-crafted media combines impressive surface area with the ability to reduce maturation times, offering unmatched filtration efficiency. During the extrusion process, essential minerals, enzymes, magnesium, calcium, and salt are infused, creating a textured surface that supports rapid biofilm establishment and encourages beneficial bacterial growth, improving overall filtration performance. The K+ Media’s unique design fosters “quiet zones,” providing a thriving environment for microscopic organisms to enhance biological filtration in ponds and aquarium systems. Key Features: Total surface area of 1,350m² per m³, with a protected area of 1,025m² per m³. Infused minerals and enzymes for faster maturation and enhanced bacterial growth. Effective solids removal and reduced energy consumption with its efficient design. Available in floating (white) and sinking (black) versions. "Quiet zones" facilitate the growth of microorganisms for optimal bio-filtration. The meticulous design of the K+ Sinking Media allows for the stable formation and maintenance of bio-films, achieving outstanding levels of biological filtration efficiency over shorter periods. The media’s incorporation of minerals and a strategically rough surface optimises the environment for beneficial bacteria, leading to faster filter maturity. It is available in convenient 25 or 50-litre bags, further enhancing the versatility and functionality of the K+ Media for various aquatic environments. Specifications: Diameter: 10.2mm Length: 8mm Available volumes: 25 litres and 50 litres Colour: Floating version - white; Sinking version - black
