Elyra Brown is a striking organic rug, two large cobblestone circles - one in warm giraffe-print brown, one in pale stone tones - set against a black field. Product Details Construction: Hand Tufted Material: 100% New Zealand Wool Colour: Brown, Cream, Black Pattern: Cobblestone organic circles Style: Contemporary, Modern Made in: Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, India Elyra Brown fills two large overlapping circles with an organic, cobblestone-like cell pattern - warm brown and cream in the upper circle, pale stone tones in the lower one - separated by a black field marked with fine outlined pebbles. The layered texture gives the design real depth, reading almost like a close-up of natural stone or animal print rather than a conventional geometric motif. Hand tufted with a dense, even pile, Elyra Brown works as a bold, textural statement in a room with warm wood or leather furniture. Frequently Asked Questions What is a hand-tufted rug, and how is it made? Wool is punched through a stretched canvas backing by hand using a tufting gun, following a pre-drawn design. A layer of latex is applied underneath to lock the fibres in place, then a fabric backing is added for stability. What inspired the cobblestone circle pattern? The cell-like texture draws on natural forms - cracked stone, animal print and organic cellular patterns - reinterpreted as two large overlapping circles rather than an all-over print. Is shedding normal on a new hand-tufted rug? Yes - some loose fibre shedding in the first few months is normal for wool pile and settles down with regular vacuuming. How do I clean and maintain it? Vacuum on suction only, without a rotating brush or beater bar. Blot spills immediately with a dry cloth rather than rubbing, avoid harsh chemicals, and bring in a professional cleaner periodically. What is the pile material? 100% New Zealand wool. Which room suits this rug best? Living rooms and studies - the bold organic texture pairs well with warm wood or leather furniture.
