The alignment check that happens while the customer is still driving in The Corghi REMO Rapide is not really an alignment machine. It is a filter. A vehicle drives through, and in roughly the time it takes the driver to reach for the handbrake the system has read the wheel geometry optically and told you whether this car needs alignment work at all. No clamps, no targets, no operator input during the check, and nothing at any point resting against a rim. Understand it as a filter and its value is obvious. A large share of the vehicles arriving at any workshop are within tolerance. Under the conventional approach you cannot know which ones without spending a technician's time finding out, so either every car gets a paid check that half of them did not need, or nobody gets checked and the work is never sold. The Rapide removes the choice: check everything at effectively no labour cost, and spend skilled time only on the vehicles that turn out to need it. Screening, not adjusting - and why that distinction should decide your purchase Being clear about this saves disappointment. The Rapide's job is acquisition: it reads toe, camber, thrust and steering angle difference as the vehicle passes, and reports. Correcting what it finds still needs an alignment bay and a technician. Where a shop already does alignment work, the Rapide sits in front of that bay and feeds it qualified work. Where a shop does not, the Rapide identifies work to refer or to sell, and pays for itself differently. Both are legitimate; buying it expecting one and receiving the other is not. If you are unsure which case you are in, talk to us before ordering rather than after. Accuracy on an imperfect floor Optical acquisition on a moving vehicle sounds like it should be fragile, and the engineering that stops it being so is worth understanding. Compensation functions correct for wheel run-out and uneven surfaces, so a reading stays valid when a hub is slightly out of true or the drive lane is not perfectly level - which describes essentially every real workshop. The sensor units hold their alignment across variable lighting and reject interference from ambient reflections, and the array is built to take shock, vibration and the ordinary hazards of a working floor. Calibration drift is low over time, which keeps the calibration interval, and the cost attached to it, sensible. Colour-coded results the customer can read Results come back colour-coded rather than as a table of angles, and that is a commercial decision as much as a usability one. A customer who is shown a red bar next to a green one understands the recommendation immediately and does not need to be taught what a thrust angle is to believe it. Results can be presented on a kiosk or a customer display, or fed into shop management software, and before-and-after comparisons can be shown once the work is done. Alignment is a service customers are famously sceptical about because they cannot see it; visible evidence at both ends of the job is the most effective answer to that scepticism anybody has found. The databank The system carries a smart databank of vehicle parameters and can recall alignment limits for a large number of models, so the tolerance a reading is judged against comes from the machine rather than from a technician's memory or a printout of uncertain age. That is what makes an unattended check meaningful: an angle on its own is not a verdict until it is compared with the right specification for that vehicle. Installation and layout The system is positioned relative to a drive lane, levelled, anchored and calibrated once, after which it begins capturing as vehicles pass. Because there are no clamp arms and nothing has to be reached around, bay space can be laid out for traffic flow rather than for a technician's access to each corner, and low-profile or specialty rims impose no setup constraints of their own - there is nothing to fit to them. Will It Fit? The data we hold for this system does not publish dimensions, power requirements or clearances, and this page will not invent them. The questions that actually decide the installation are the length and straightness of the drive-through lane, the sight lines from the sensor positions to the wheels, and the lighting. Send us your bay layout and we will check it against the manufacturer's installation requirements before you order rather than after the crate arrives. Perfect For Quick-service and fast-fit lanes where every vehicle can be screened without adding a labour step. Workshops that already run an alignment bay and want it occupied by vehicles that genuinely need it. Vehicle inspection centres needing a fast, repeatable, operator-independent geometry reading. Dealership service drives where a visible, colour-coded result supports the recommendation being made. What's in the Box The manufacturer's data we hold does not itemise contents, and the sensor configuration is a choice rather than a fixed package - wired and wireless are both supported. Ask us to confirm the exact specification for the configuration you want and we will put it in writing before you buy. Certification, stated honestly No independent third-party listing or test mark is recorded in our product data for this system, and so none is claimed here. Buyers should know that this is not the same thing as a machine having no paperwork: a manufacturer can and usually does issue its own declaration that a product conforms to the applicable directives, but that is the maker vouching for itself, not an outside body testing and listing the equipment. Those two documents are routinely treated as interchangeable and they are not. If an inspection authority, an insurer or a franchise standard requires a named listing, confirm the requirement with them and ask us what the manufacturer can actually produce. Shipping and delivery Delivery is freight, to the lower 48 states, priced live at checkout against the address you give us rather than guessed at in advance. Plan for unloading: freight carriers deliver the shipment but do not unload it for you, so either you have the means on site or you arrange to collect from the carrier's terminal. Where a delivery is residential, a residential fee applies. Check the shipment over before you sign anything, and if there is damage, write it on the bill of lading in front of the driver. That note is the difference between a claim that gets paid and a claim that gets argued about. Warranty Rather than print a term here that could go out of date, we keep the current warranty conditions on our warranty claims page. The one piece of advice that holds across every manufacturer we sell: if something goes wrong, report it before anyone opens the equipment. Equipment that has been dismantled for a look before the claim was raised is the classic reason a claim gets declined, and it is entirely avoidable. CORGHI REMO RAPIDE CLAMPLESS WHEEL ALIGNMENT SYSTEM The Corghi REMO Rapide clampless wheel alignment system is engineered to perform completely touchless alignment checks without requiring rim contact or operator input during prechecks. Vehicles simply drive into position and within about ten seconds the system captures wheel alignment status using optical sensors. This drive-through design makes it ideal for high-volume workshops, quick lube lanes, inspection centers, and any service environment where speed, throughput, and customer experience matter. Using advanced imaging and sensor technology, the Corghi REMO Rapide analyzes alignment parameters including toe, camber, thrust, and steering angle difference. The system applies algorithms and compensation functions to adjust for wheel run-out or uneven surfaces, ensuring accuracy even when wheels or hubs are not perfectly seated. Color-coded result displays make it easy for technicians—and customers—to interpret whether alignment values are within spec or require adjustment. The system includes a smart databank that stores vehicle parameters and can recall alignment limits for thousands of models, streamlining setup and reducing errors. Because it is truly clampless and touchless, the REMO Rapide eliminates rim damage risks and speeds the alignment workflow by removing the time needed to attach and remove clamps. In practice, this means less handling, fewer mistakes, and more consistent service throughput. Technicians simply drive the vehicle in, and the system acquires data automatically. If the shop also handles traditional alignment corrections, the REMO Rapide can be used as a fast pre-check or screening tool to identify only those vehicles needing adjustment. Optical sensor units are designed for reliability and durability in busy shop settings. They maintain alignment even in variable lighting environments and resist interference from ambient reflections. The hardware is built to withstand shock, vibration, and everyday shop hazards. The sensor array captures data quickly and with minimal calibration drift over time, reducing maintenance needs and calibration cycles. The Corghi system supports both wired and wireless sensor configurations, allowing flexibility in shop layout and reducing cable clutter. Technicians can choose to use wireless mode for ease of installation and mobility or wired mode when signal integrity is more critical. The hybrid support ensures adaptability in diverse shop environments. Sensor heads include recharge or charging stations to help maintain continuous availability. Subscription or software updates may be used to keep the vehicle database current and add new alignment models as needed. Installation is streamlined: the system is positioned relative to a drive lane, leveled, and anchored. After initial calibration, the REMO Rapide starts capturing alignment data as vehicles pass through. Because it operates without clamps or mechanical contact, alignment bay space can be optimized. The lack of clamp arms or wheel attachments also reduces setup constraints for low profile wheels or specialty rims. From a workflow perspective, the REMO Rapide adds value by filtering vehicles prior to alignment. Many vehicles entering a shop fall within acceptable tolerances; the system allows these to be cleared quickly, allowing technicians to focus only on correcting those that truly require adjustment. This improves throughput, reduces labor waste, and enhances capacity in busy operations. For customers, the experience is seamless. They drive in, wait briefly, and receive clear, color-coded feedback. The system can present results via kiosks, customer displays, or integration with shop management systems. This transparency builds trust and can enable upsell opportunities through visual reports and comparison before-and-after metrics. Accuracy, speed, and user experience are central to the Corghi REMO Rapide’s design. By blending advanced optics, intelligent software, and a truly noncontact approach, it redefines how alignment prechecks and service workflows are handled — delivering precision and efficiency for modern service facilities.
