Season-Long Muck Control for Medium Ponds Bottom sludge is the end result of every leaf, fish waste particle, and uneaten pellet that settles over time. Left untreated, it consumes dissolved oxygen, releases hydrogen sulfide, and shortens the life of pumps and filters. ClearLake Muck Eliminator Tablets release concentrated beneficial bacteria at the pond bottom, steadily breaking down organic sediment through the season. The 8 lb pail covers medium ponds through a full treatment program. Consistent Bacterial Action Through the Season Each tablet dissolves over several days, creating sustained bacterial activity rather than a single-dose spike. This slow-release pattern maintains active muck digestion through the periods between treatments, producing more consistent results than broadcast granule applications. The tablet format also allows targeted application near high-accumulation zones. Coverage Ponds up to 1/2 acre (approx. 160,000 gal / 600,000 L) Application Rate 2 to 3 lbs per acre every two weeks Format Compressed tablets Weight 8 lb (3.6 kg) Muck Reduction Up to 6 inches annually with regular use Safe For Fish, aquatic plants, wildlife How to Use Begin applications in spring when water reaches 10°C (50°F). Drop or toss tablets onto high-muck areas every two weeks through fall. For heavily loaded ponds, use an initial double dose and supplement with weekly half-doses during peak feeding season. Muck depth reduction is measurable by mid-summer with consistent application. Ideal for residential koi and ornamental ponds, and smaller farm ponds from 10,000 to 160,000 gal (40,000 to 600,000 L) with moderate to heavy muck accumulation.
