Challenger Lifts SAJ25 Rolling Jack — 25,000 lbs The SAJ25 is not a lift. It is a rolling jack: an air-over-hydraulic bridge jack that rides along the accessory rail of a four-post lift so a technician can raise the wheels clear of the runway once the vehicle is already up. That single fact governs everything else on this page — including whether you can buy it at all, because a rolling jack is useless without a four-post rack that has the rail to carry it. What separates the SAJ25 from the smaller jacks in the range is simply its rating: 25,000 lbs. That places it with heavy four-post racks and the vehicles that go on them, and it is the reason the unit is air-over-hydraulic with a two-hand control rather than a manual pump. A note on how the capacity is written You will see this jack listed as a 25.000 lb unit as well as a 25,000 lbs unit. Those are the same number written two ways — the first uses the European convention where a full stop is the thousands separator. It is not a 25 lb jack and it is not a fractional rating. We have left both notations visible here on purpose, because a shopper comparing listings across sites will meet both, and the first reaction to the full-stop version is usually that something is wrong with it. Why a rolling jack instead of a bottle jack The alternative to a pair of rolling jacks is dragging a bottle jack or a floor jack under a vehicle that is already several feet in the air, on runways, at an awkward angle, and finding a lift point by feel. It is slow, it is uncomfortable, and it is the part of a wheels-free job where a technician is most exposed. A rolling jack removes that entirely: it is already on the rack, it rolls to the lift point along the rail, and it lifts from a stable base that is part of the lift rather than balanced on the shop floor. Two design points in the manufacturer's own feature list are worth reading carefully. The jack is low-profile with adjustable heights, so when it is not in use it sits out of the way rather than becoming an obstruction on the runway — on a rack that is in use all day, an accessory that has to be removed between jobs stops being used. And it requires two-hand operation, which is a deliberate safety interlock: both of the operator's hands are occupied on the controls, so neither is under the load while it is moving. Adjustable width and adapters The jack is described as adjustable in width, and it is supplied to reach vehicle pick-up points with adapters. That matters because the useful range of a rolling jack is decided by geometry, not by capacity: a jack that cannot span to the frame rails of the widest vehicle you service is a jack that will sit unused, whatever it is rated for. If you are buying for a specific rack and a specific class of vehicle, tell us what you run and we will confirm the reach against the manufacturer's fitting information before you order. Buy them in pairs A single rolling jack lifts one axle at a time. Most shops that fit them buy a pair, so that a vehicle can be taken wheels-free at both ends without repositioning. That is not a rule — plenty of shops run one — but it is the usual answer, and it is worth deciding before you order, because a second unit bought later ships as a second freight shipment. Perfect For Professional shops and dealerships already running a heavy four-post rack that want wheels-free brake, tyre and suspension work without moving the vehicle to a second bay. Fleet and commercial garages where the vehicles are heavy enough that the smaller jacks in the range are not enough. Alignment and inspection bays, where lifting the wheels off the runway is a routine step rather than an occasional one. It is not a home-garage purchase and it is not a standalone jack: if you do not have a compatible four-post lift with an accessory rail and a shop air supply, this is not the product you want. What's in the Box The manufacturer's copy states that the jack includes extendable widths and adapters for reaching vehicle pick-up points. It does not list a full packing contents for this model, and we are not going to invent one. If you need to know exactly which adapters ship with the unit — or whether the adapters you already use on your rack will carry over — ask us and we will confirm it from the factory documentation before you commit. Specifications Model SAJ25 Type Air/hydraulic rolling bridge jack for four-post lifts Capacity 25,000 lbs (also written 25.000 lb) Operation Two-hand control Width Adjustable Profile Low-profile, adjustable heights We have deliberately not published dimensions, weight, air pressure or a stroke figure for this unit. Our data for the SAJ25 carries no such values, and on a piece of equipment that has to fit a particular rack, a plausible-looking guess is worse than a blank. Ask us for the factory dimension sheet and we will send it. Certification and compliance Our product data for the SAJ25 makes no third-party safety certification claim, and we are not going to imply one. That is not the same as saying the unit is unlisted — it means the claim is not in the data we hold, so we cannot stand behind it in writing. This matters in practice: some insurers, some fleet operators and some local jurisdictions require shop lifting equipment to carry a recognised third-party North American safety listing, which is a different document from a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity. If your insurer, your fleet policy or your local code sets that requirement, tell us before you order and we will get the manufacturer's current certification status in writing rather than letting a page make the claim for us. Shipping and Delivery The SAJ25 ships by freight within the lower 48 states, free of charge. You will need a way to take it off the truck — a forklift, a dock, or a terminal collection, which many shops find easier. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee. Check the shipment before you sign for it: look over the crate, the pallet and the hydraulic fittings, and write any damage on the bill of lading while the driver is still there. Once a clean bill of lading is signed, a concealed damage claim becomes very difficult. Warranty Warranty claims are handled through our warranty claims page. We hold no published warranty term for this model, so we are not quoting one — ask and we will get the manufacturer's current terms in writing. If something does go wrong, do not strip the unit down before the claim is raised. Photograph the fault in place, take the jack out of service, and contact us first: a hydraulic component that arrives disassembled is routinely assessed as misuse, and that turns a straightforward claim into a dispute.
