Bromic Heating Tungsten Smart-Heat™ Portable Patio Heater The Bromic Heating Tungsten Smart-Heat™ Portable Patio Heater, featured on Patio Pelican, is an award-winning, commercial-grade freestanding gas outdoor heater. Unlike traditional mushroom-style heaters that suffer from vertical heat loss by heating the rising air, the Tungsten Portable utilizes advanced directional radiant infrared technology to heat solid objects and people directly. This architectural-looking heater is recognized as a Red Dot Design Award winner in Essen, Germany, making it a highly sought-after solution for premium residential patios, restaurant verandas, and luxury resort terraces. Performance Engineering & Key Features High-Intensity Ceramic Burners: The heating head houses high-intensity ceramic burners covered by a signature honeycomb mesh screen. This design optimizes infrared energy distribution, delivering consistent warmth while ensuring maximum fuel efficiency with minimal energy loss. Directional Tilting Head: Features an innovative, adjustable pivoting bracket. This allows users to physically angle and tilt the heater head to project a beam of radiant warmth exactly where guests are gathered, cutting down on wasted energy. Superior Wind Resistance: Engineered with a contoured body profile and advanced mesh texturing, it is capable of maintaining a constant, uninterrupted heat bloom and staying lit in wind speeds of up to 8 to 11 mph. Integrated Safety Systems: Outfitted with an automatic anti-tilt shutoff switch that immediately cuts off the gas flow if the unit is knocked over, alongside a patented flame failure safety valve that disables the gas supply if the pilot flame is blown out. Maneuverability & Storage: Features a modular framework that can be dismantled for compact off-season storage, paired with an anti-tilt curved base and integrated rear transport wheels for effortless mobility across stone decks.
