Common Questions What solar charge controllers is the EBOX-BT compatible with? The EBOX-BT is compatible with specific Photonic Universe and similar series controllers, including Tracer TR/PTR, VS****BN, DM, MSC, LS**24B, and PU series. Always verify your controller's model number against the compatibility list. Can I use this module with a dual battery solar charge controller? No, this Bluetooth module is specifically designed for single-battery solar charge controllers and is not suitable for dual battery systems. What is the communication range of the EBOX-BT module? The module offers a wireless communication radius of up to 10 metres, allowing you to monitor and program your controller from a convenient distance. What kind of cable does it use and can I replace it? It comes with a 1.9m RJ45 cable. You can replace this cable with a shorter or longer standard RJ45 cable if needed. For controllers with an RS485 port, an additional RS485 to RJ45 adapter cable will be required for connection. Installation Notes Connect the EBOX-BT module to the designated RJ45 port on your compatible solar charge controller. Ensure the 1.9m cable is securely connected at both ends. For controllers with an RS485 port, an additional RS485 to RJ45 cable (not included) will be necessary. Mount the module in a location within 10 metres of your mobile device for optimal Bluetooth communication. Refer to your solar charge controller's user manual for specific port locations and connection instructions. Before You Buy Verify your solar charge controller's model number against the compatible series (Tracer TR/PTR, VS****BN, DM, MSC, LS**24B, PU). Confirm your controller is for a single battery system; this module is not for dual battery controllers. Check if your controller has an RJ45 port or requires an RS485 to RJ45 adapter cable. Ensure you have a compatible iOS or Android mobile device to download and use the free pairing app. Please verify compatibility with your specific solar charge controller model before purchase.
