BendPak HDSO14AX open-front alignment package, with the rolling jacks and the air line to feed them An alignment rack is the easy half of the decision. What catches shops out is everything the rack needs before the bay actually works. This package pairs the HDSO14AX open-front alignment lift with 7,000 lbs of rolling bridge jack capacity and the integrated airline kit that carries air to those jacks along the underside of the runways — three parts that are far easier to buy together than to retrofit one at a time. The lift itself is rated at 14,000 lbs and is built with no front crossbar, and that single omission is what the rest of this page turns on. An open front is an access decision, not a styling one On a conventional four-post alignment rack there is a beam tying the two front columns together, and it sits almost exactly where a technician wants to be: crouched at the front wheels with a hand on a tie-rod adjuster and eyes on the turn plate. The HDSO14AX deletes that beam. You walk in at the front of the vehicle, do the adjustment standing or kneeling wherever you like, and walk out the same way, without ducking under structure or working around it. Deleting a structural member has a consequence, and BendPak deals with it at the floor rather than overhead: the front of the rack carries adjustable outrigger tubes whose pitch is set on installation, so an unevenly loaded rack or a floor that is not perfectly flat can be trimmed level rather than shimmed and hoped over. That matters more here than on a storage lift, because every reading the machine gives you is taken relative to a surface you have declared level. The plates are part of the runway, not something you put on it Front turn plates drop into recessed pockets in the runways, and the pockets are multi-position, so the plates can be set to suit a short wheelbase or a long one instead of forcing every vehicle to the same spot. The rear of the runways carries slip plates. The purpose of both is worth stating plainly: a wheel being adjusted has to be free to find its own resting position, or the suspension stays wound up and the numbers on the screen describe a state the car will never sit in. Loose plates laid on a flat runway do a version of the same job, but they move, they need positioning for every vehicle, and they are one more thing to stand on. Why an airline kit is in the box at all Rolling bridge jacks are air-over-hydraulic, so they need a supply line, and that line has to reach a jack that moves along the length of the rack. Left to itself that supply gets draped over a runway or dropped to the floor, where it catches turn plates, gets rolled over by the next vehicle up the ramps, and gets stood on all day. The AK-14 kit secures the line to the underside of the runways and routes it to the jacks, so a jack travels without dragging hose. It is a small part that decides whether the bay is tidy or quietly annoying for the next ten years. What the rolling jacks change The bridge jacks span the two runways and lift the wheels clear of them, rated at 7,000 lbs, with multiple safety-lock positions and stackable pad adapters for pick-up points that sit higher than usual. What they change is not the alignment work — it is everything else. Brakes, rotors, hubs, tyres and suspension can all be done on the rack, so a vehicle in for a brake job and an alignment is not driven off one lift and onto another halfway through. For a shop with a fixed number of bays, that is the whole argument. Perfect for Independent repair shops adding alignment as a service rather than sending it out. Tyre and brake specialists, where the alignment and the wheels-off work happen on the same visit. Dealership service departments running alignment as a routine, high-volume operation. Fleet and municipal workshops, where vehicles return on a schedule and access speed compounds. Large private workshops with the ceiling, floor and space for a commercial rack — this is full-size equipment. What this listing says is included The HDSO14AX open-front alignment lift, with front turn plates and rear slip plates built into the runways. Rolling bridge jack capability rated at 7,000 lbs, with multiple safety-lock positions and stackable pad adapters. The AK-14 integrated rolling bridge airline kit, mounted to the underside of the runways. Turn plates and slip plates are stated as included. Quantities of the bridge jacks are not stated anywhere in this listing's copy — see the note below, and get the number confirmed on your order. This listing is titled with the part designation RBJ7000, while the manufacturer's package description carried further down this same page names the jack differently. Bridge jacks are matched to a specific lift series and its runway spacing, so the designation is not cosmetic. Ask us to confirm the exact jack part number that ships against this package before you order, and we will put it in writing on the order. How many jacks. The copy names the jack and its capacity but never states a quantity. Confirm that too, in the same message. Floor, ceiling and siting — the numbers live in the manual A four-post rack of this size is anchored to a flat, sound concrete slab. The slab thickness and strength it needs, the footprint, the drive-through clearance and the ceiling height at full rise are all stated in BendPak's installation manual and specification sheet for this model, and we hold both. This listing publishes none of those figures, and we would rather send you the manufacturer's own than paraphrase them. Ask before you commit a bay: confirming the equipment fits the building — slab, ceiling, door swing, power — is the buyer's responsibility, and far cheaper to check on paper. Certification, stated plainly This listing makes no certification claim for the package, and we are not going to invent one for it. That matters to some buyers and not at all to others: a private workshop is rarely asked, while some insurance policies, fleet operating standards, dealership programmes and local jurisdictions require a specific third-party lift-safety listing before equipment is signed off. Those requirements name a document, not a brand. If you are in that position, ask us in writing which conformity documents ship with this model and we will obtain them before you order rather than after. Shipping and delivery This ships as freight to addresses in the lower 48 states. This item ships free, so there is nothing to add at checkout. It arrives crated on a standard trailer, and getting it off is the receiver's responsibility — a forklift with the reach and capacity for a crated four-post rack, or collection from the carrier's local terminal, which is often simpler because the terminal already has the equipment. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, applied at checkout when you select it. Inspect the shipment before you sign for it. Look for crushed crate corners, bent or scored steel, shifted banding and any sign of oil. Write what you find on the bill of lading while the driver is still on site, and photograph it. A clean signature is the carrier's evidence that everything arrived undamaged. Warranty BendPak publishes a written warranty covering its products, and we hold the current document rather than a summary of it — ask us for a copy before ordering if the terms are part of your decision. One warning applies to every hydraulic lift regardless of maker: if something fails, do not open a power unit, cylinder, cable assembly or lock mechanism before a claim is raised. A disassembled component is normally treated as a modified one, and that is the quickest way to lose cover. Photograph the fault, note the serial number from the column, and call us first.
