Elegant Water Catch and Finish Detail The Atlantic Water Gardens copper finish splash ring for 12-inch spillways mounts in the basin below the spillway lip, catching the falling water sheet and directing it back into the recirculating basin without splash scatter. Beyond its functional role, the splash ring adds a finished, professional appearance to the basin — framing the water's return point with the same warm copper aesthetic as the spillway itself. Function and Finish in One Accessory Water falling from a 12-inch spillway creates spray that scatters outside a plain flat basin. The splash ring's angled interior wall deflects falling water downward and inward, reducing external splash by a significant margin. This keeps the surrounding patio surface dry and reduces evaporative water loss from the feature. The matching copper finish creates a visually cohesive installation when paired with the 12-inch copper finish scupper or spillway — the kind of detail that distinguishes a professionally finished feature from a DIY installation. Compatible With 12" spillways and scuppers — copper finish family Finish Copper (matches copper finish spillway and scupper line) Function Splash containment and basin finish ring Mounting Basin floor or ledge mount How to Install Position the splash ring in the basin directly below the spillway lip, centred on the falling water sheet. Secure to the basin floor or ledge using waterproof adhesive or the mounting method appropriate to your basin type. Fill the basin to the operating water level and start the pump. Confirm the falling water sheet contacts the interior of the splash ring rather than the flat basin floor. Adjust position as needed for the best splash containment result. Ideal for finishing 12-inch copper finish spillway and scupper installations in any Canadian water feature.
