Fountain Basin Debris Filter Cartridge The Atlantic Water Gardens CFBasin12 replacement filter is the OEM filter cartridge for the CFBasin12 compact fountain basin. The filter maintains water quality inside the basin by trapping fine debris, algae particulate, and organic matter before it reaches the pump intake — keeping pump screens cleaner and extending service intervals between full basin cleanings. Replacing this filter on schedule is the most economical way to maintain consistent water quality and pump performance in a CFBasin12 installation. How Often to Replace In average outdoor conditions, the CFBasin12 filter should be cleaned every 2–4 weeks and replaced at least once per season, or whenever cleaning no longer restores adequate flow. In heavily planted gardens or high-debris environments — under deciduous trees, near seeding plants, or in areas with high dust — more frequent replacement may be needed. A clean filter maintains clear water and protects the pump from fine-particulate wear. Compatibility This replacement filter is specifically sized and shaped for the CFBasin12 fountain basin. It is not interchangeable with the CFBasin24/36 replacement filter — always verify the correct basin model before ordering. Insert the replacement filter directly into the filter housing position inside the basin — no tools required.
