An established favourite from the U.S., the Arcadia Polyfilter Breeder (12" x 12") is now available once more. This mechanical and chemical filter media is a top choice for achieving outstanding water quality and sparkling clarity in your aquarium. Many chemical products can build up over time in aquarium water, as well as pollutants present in tap water. The Poly-Filter efficiently removes: Proteins and Amino Acids Nitrite, Nitrate, and Ammonia Phosphates (a principal cause of algae) Toxic Metals As these pollutants are extracted, the filter's colour changes. When it turns black, it's time for a replacement. Moreover, once saturated, the Poly-Filter does not leach hazardous substances back into the water. Importantly, it retains desirable trace elements and maintains water softness, making it suitable for both marine and freshwater aquariums. The Poly-Filter is versatile and can be cut to fit any filter chamber or placed directly in the water in smaller environments like goldfish bowls. For clear and healthy aquarium water, depend on the Poly-Filter. Features: Removes harmful proteins, nitrite, nitrate, ammonia, phosphates and toxic metals Indicates saturation by changing colour Retains beneficial trace elements Suitable for marine and freshwater aquariums Customisable to fit any filter chamber
