Replacement Intake Assembly for the Aquascape Smart Pond Dosing System The Aquascape Replacement Smart Pond Dosing System Intake Assembly is the factory-specification replacement for the water intake strainer and inlet tube on the Aquascape Smart Pond Dosing System. When the intake screen becomes fouled with algae or biofilm or the inlet tube cracks from UV exposure, the dosing system cannot draw water accurately and dosing becomes erratic or stops entirely. Restore Accurate Dosing With a Clean Intake The Smart Pond Dosing System works by drawing a small water sample through the intake to trigger timed treatment doses. A partially blocked or cracked intake delivers less water than the system expects, causing missed dose cycles or inconsistent timing. Replacing the intake assembly with this factory part restores the original draw rate and keeps the dosing schedule on track without recalibration. Specification Value Compatible With Aquascape Smart Pond Dosing System Component Intake strainer and inlet tube assembly Material UV-resistant thermoplastic Replacement Trigger Fouled screen, cracked tube, erratic dosing behaviour How to Use Disconnect the dosing system from power before servicing. Remove the existing intake assembly by pulling the inlet tube free from the system body and lifting the strainer from the pond. Discard the old assembly. Connect the new intake tube to the system inlet port and place the strainer in the pond at the location specified in the dosing system installation guide. Restore power and confirm normal dosing cycles resume. Clean the replacement strainer every two to four weeks to prevent biofilm accumulation. Ideal for Smart Pond Dosing System units displaying erratic dose timing, and for annual intake replacement as part of scheduled dosing system maintenance.
