Upgrade your pond's life support system with the Aquascape Pro Air 20 Pond Aeration Kit. Designed for larger or more demanding water features up to 5,000 gallons, this unit bridges the gap between consumer-grade pumps and professional aeration, providing a robust solution for maintaining dissolved oxygen levels. Why Upgrade to Professional Aeration? For larger ponds (up to 5,000 gallons), maintaining oxygen saturation is vital for breaking down fish waste and keeping water clear. The Pro Air 20 uses a high-pressure membrane diffuser rather than a traditional air stone. This ensures better circulation and gas exchange, which is critical for two scenarios: Heavy Biological Loads: If you have Koi or a higher fish population, standard aeration often isn't enough. This unit delivers a concentrated column of bubbles to strip carbon dioxide and add essential oxygen. Winter Survival: This unit is an excellent de-icer. The vigorous bubbling action keeps a hole open in the ice during freezing months, allowing toxic gases to vent so your fish survive until spring. Crucial Winter Setup Tip Warning: Depth matters in winter! While this unit is powerful, improper placement during freezing temperatures can harm your fish. DIY Expert Note: When using the Pro Air 20 in winter, you must move the membrane diffuser up to a maximum depth of 2 feet (or half the pond's depth). Do not leave it at the deep bottom. Circulating water from the very bottom in winter mixes the warmer refuge water with the freezing surface water, effectively super-cooling the pond and endangering hibernating fish. Pro Air 20 Features The Pro Air 20 distinguishes itself from standard kits with heavy-duty components designed for years of operation. Self-Cleaning Diffuser: Features a 10-inch rubber membrane that expands to clear dirt and debris, preventing the clogging issues common with traditional air stones. It is self-weighted, so it stays on the bottom without extra bricks or anchors. Built Tough: The compressor is housed in a heavy-duty metal casing with outdoor-rated durability. Integrated rubber feet minimize vibration and noise. Superior Tubing: Comes with 30 feet of freeze-resistant, 3/8" braided vinyl tubing (much tougher than standard silicone airline). Energy Efficient: Despite the professional output, it operates on just 15 watts. Technical Specifications Pond Size Up to 5,000 gallons Max Recommended Depth 6.5 ft.
