Complete Large Water Garden Kit With Smart Logic Drive 5000-9000 Pump The Aquascape Large Pond Kit (21 ft x 26 ft / 6.4 m x 7.9 m liner) includes the complete construction package for a large water garden up to approximately 8,000 gal (30,300 L), with the Aquascape SLD 5000-9000 Smart Logic Drive adjustable flow pump. The SLD 5000-9000 adjusts from 5,000 to 9,000 GPH (18,925 to 34,065 LPH) via an electronic controller, allowing precise waterfall flow management and the ability to reduce flow rates seasonally to lower power consumption. Electronic Flow Control for a High-Volume Pond The SLD controller maintains the pump at any point between 5,000 and 9,000 GPH without manual head-swapping or bypass valves. During cooler spring and fall months when koi metabolism slows, the flow rate can be reduced to lower turnover and conserve energy. In summer, the full 9,000 GPH drives maximum oxygenation and waterfall height. The large pond filtration package supports the full SLD flow range without risk of over-pressuring the biofall media. After installation and filling, connect the SLD controller to power before starting the pump. Set the initial flow rate at mid-range (approximately 7,000 GPH) and adjust waterfall height and sound by increasing or decreasing the flow setting in small increments until the desired result is achieved. Reduce to minimum flow rate during fall pond shutdown preparation to maintain biological filter activity while lowering energy consumption. Ideal for large koi pond installations where electronic flow control and seasonal flow adjustment are priorities, and for builders who want a single pump platform with broad flow range coverage in a large pond.
