Koi Sock Net for Safe Fish Transfer and Handling The Aquascape Koi Sock Net is a deep, cylindrical fine-mesh net used to safely contain koi and large goldfish during transport, veterinary inspection, or pond-to-holding-tank transfers. The sock form keeps the fish fully submerged and limits movement without requiring physical handling that can damage scales and protective slime coat. Contain Fish Safely During Handling Procedures Bare-hand or standard net handling of large koi causes scale damage, slime coat removal, and fin injury. The sock net reduces contact by allowing you to lower the fish into the net and secure it at the top without gripping the body. The deep sock shape keeps even large koi fully immersed in water during transfer, reducing the stress and oxygen deprivation associated with brief air exposure. Spec Value Type Cylindrical sock net Material Fine soft mesh, non-abrasive Safe For Koi and large goldfish How to Use Open the sock and submerge it in the pond. Guide the fish into the open end using a standard pond net. Once the fish is in the sock, twist the top closed to contain it. Keep the sock submerged or in a water-filled bucket during any inspection. Return fish to the pond promptly. Rinse the net after each use and hang to dry to prevent mould and mesh degradation. Ideal for koi health checks, treatment applications, pond moves, and any situation where large koi need to be safely contained and transported with minimal physical contact and stress.
