Keep Debris Clear of Your EcoWave 4000 or 5000 Pump Intake The Aquascape EcoWave Intake Screen for 4000 and 5000 models is a factory replacement intake screen for EcoWave 4000 and 5000 submersible pond pumps. A clean, intact intake screen is critical to maintaining full flow in the higher-output EcoWave models, where even a partially obstructed screen produces a visible reduction in waterfall volume or pond circulation rate. Single Kit Serving Both Large EcoWave Models The EcoWave 4000 and 5000 share the same intake screen geometry, making this kit a single compatible spare for both pumps. Having a replacement on hand avoids extended pump downtime when a screen becomes fouled or torn mid-season in a large pond or waterfall system where several days without circulation would compromise fish health. Replacement takes a few minutes with no tools required. Specification Value Compatible Pumps Aquascape EcoWave 4000, EcoWave 5000 Component Intake screen assembly Fit Type OEM direct replacement Material UV-stable thermoplastic mesh How to Use Remove the pump from the pond and unplug it. Release the intake screen retaining collar or clips. Remove the old screen and clear any debris from the intake port. Fit the replacement screen, engaging the retaining collar until it is secure. Return the pump to service and confirm full flow at the discharge within 60 seconds. During autumn when leaf fall is at its peak, inspect and clean the intake screen weekly on high-volume pumps to maintain unobstructed flow. Ideal for maintaining EcoWave 4000 and 5000 pumps in large koi ponds and water garden installations where the intake screen requires periodic replacement due to physical damage or heavy organic fouling.
