Cover Large Ponds to Protect Fish From Aerial Predators Aquascape Bulk Protective Pond Netting (9.1 m x 30.5 m / 30 ft x 100 ft) is a UV-resistant, fine-mesh predator protection net for large koi ponds and water gardens. The 30 ft wide roll covers substantial pond widths in a single span, making it the practical choice for large rectangular or oval feature ponds where narrower rolls would require seaming multiple pieces together. Single-Span Coverage for Larger Installations Seaming multiple narrow nets together to cover a large pond introduces gaps at the joints that predators can exploit. The 9.1 m (30 ft) width eliminates the need for seaming on most large residential ponds, providing a single unbroken barrier from bank to bank. The bulk 30.5 m (100 ft) length provides the running length needed for extended ponds, multiple large ponds, or long-season storage reserves after the initial installation cut. Specification Value Dimensions 9.1 m x 30.5 m (30 ft x 100 ft) Material UV-resistant fine mesh netting Function Predator exclusion, leaf debris management Safe For Koi, goldfish, aquatic plants How to Use Measure the pond width and length and add 60 cm (24 in) to each dimension for anchor overlap. Cut from the roll to fit. Support the netting over large ponds using support hoops or a centre float system to prevent the mesh from sagging into the water under its own weight or under rain accumulation. Anchor the perimeter with pond net pegs, decorative stone, or purpose-built edge clips at 30 to 60 cm (12 to 24 in) intervals. Inspect and re-tension the anchor points after the first heavy rainfall of the season. Ideal for large koi collections and professional pond installations with feature ponds above 37 m² (400 sq ft) where heron predation or autumn leaf fall requires a single, unbroken protective cover.
