Move Water Through Pond Features With Flexible Half-Inch Tubing Aquascape Black Vinyl Tubing (13 mm / 1/2 in ID, 30.5 m / 100 ft) is a UV-resistant, flexible pond plumbing tube designed for routing water between pumps, fittings, and water feature components in outdoor installations. The black colouration conceals the tubing against dark substrates and reduces algae growth inside the tube compared to clear alternatives. Versatile Plumbing Tubing for Small-to-Medium Flow Applications The 13 mm (1/2 in) diameter suits a broad range of low-to-medium flow applications in ornamental water features, including connecting small submersible pumps to decorative spitters, routing water to fountain heads, and feeding small streams or cascades. The flexible vinyl construction navigates corners and bends with minimal kinking without the need for elbow fittings in every direction change, simplifying installation in tight spaces. Specification Value Inner Diameter 13 mm (1/2 in) Length 30.5 m (100 ft) Material UV-resistant flexible vinyl Colour Black Compatible With Standard 1/2 in barb fittings and hose clamps How to Use Cut the tubing to the required length using a sharp utility knife for a clean, square cut. Push the cut end firmly onto a 1/2 in barbed fitting until the barb is fully covered by the tubing wall. Secure with a stainless steel worm-drive hose clamp for pressurised connections or where vibration is present. Route the tubing along a path that avoids sharp bends tighter than a 10 cm (4 in) radius to prevent internal kinking. Bury tubing under stone or soil to protect it from UV degradation and physical damage. Ideal for decorative fountain spitters, small submersible pump connections, statuary plumbing, and any low-to-medium flow water feature application requiring flexible, UV-resistant tubing.
