Seal the Water Chamber on Your AquaSurge 2000 or 3000 Pump The Aquascape AquaSurge 2000/3000 (G2) Water Chamber Cover & O-ring Kit is a factory replacement cover and seal for the water chamber section of second-generation AquaSurge 2000 and 3000 submersible pumps. Compatible with both models, this kit addresses the most common cause of reduced pump output after extended operation: a worn or compressed O-ring that allows pressure to bypass the impeller chamber. Restore Water Chamber Pressure and Full Pump Output The water chamber cover seals the high-velocity impeller section from the motor compartment. When the O-ring degrades from prolonged compression or UV exposure, internal recirculation increases and effective output drops across all head heights. Replacing both the cover and O-ring together ensures a complete seal restoration and avoids repeat repairs from using only the cover without renewing the gasket. Specification Value Compatible Pumps Aquascape AquaSurge 2000 (G2), AquaSurge 3000 (G2) Kit Contents Water chamber cover, O-ring Fit Type OEM direct replacement How to Use Remove the pump from the pond and unplug it. Open the pump casing and remove the existing water chamber cover and O-ring. Clean the O-ring groove and cover mating surface. Install the new O-ring from the kit, seating it evenly in the groove without twisting. Press the new cover onto the pump body until all retention points click. Reassemble the casing and test in a water-filled bucket, verifying no pressure leak at the cover joint and confirming restored flow output at the discharge before resubmerging. Ideal for annual preventive maintenance on AquaSurge 2000 and 3000 G2 pumps, and for emergency repair when reduced flow is traced to a water chamber pressure loss.
