Keep Your Tsurumi Pump Protected From Debris The Aquascape Tsurumi Strainer for 3-pn, 4-pn, and 8-pn 5500 models is a factory-specification intake strainer that blocks solids and debris from entering the pump chamber of compatible Tsurumi external pond pumps. A cracked or missing strainer allows gravel and coarse organic matter to reach the impeller, causing premature wear or seizure. OEM Protection for Tsurumi Pump Longevity Tsurumi pumps are workhorses used in professional pond construction and large water features, but they rely on an unobstructed, protected intake to perform reliably season after season. This replacement strainer installs directly without modification and restores the manufacturer's specified debris exclusion rating. Inspecting and cleaning the strainer regularly is one of the simplest preventive maintenance steps for these pumps.
