AMGO Width Extension Kit No. 20906 (OH-9, OH-10) Almost every accessory on this site adds something to a lift. This one changes the lift. Kit No. 20906 moves the columns of an AMGO OH-9 or OH-10 further apart, taking the width between the posts from 112 1/4" (2850mm) to 118 1/8" (3000mm). Nothing about the lifting changes; what changes is the size of the opening the vehicle has to fit through and the space a person has to work in once it is in there. That makes this a fitment decision rather than an upgrade, and it is one worth making deliberately — before the lift is anchored, ideally, rather than after. The problem it solves The width between the columns is the number that decides which vehicles are comfortable on a lift and which are an ordeal. It governs three separate things at once, and it is easy to think about only the first of them. Getting the vehicle in. A wide-body pickup, a dually, a van with mirrors folded out — the body may clear the posts while the mirrors, flares or a tow package do not. Getting the doors open. This is the one that bites daily. A vehicle can sit perfectly between the posts and still leave the driver's door thumping into a column, which means the person driving it on has to shuffle out sideways every single time. Over a working week that is a genuine irritation, and on a customer's vehicle it is a paint risk. Working around it. Once the vehicle is in the air, the space between the post and the body is the space a technician stands in. Extra width there is extra room for a transmission jack, a wheel dolly, or simply for two people to work down opposite sides of the same vehicle without choreography. What the kit changes, precisely Kit number 20906 Fits AMGO OH-9 and OH-10 Width between posts, standard 112 1/4" (2850mm) Width between posts, with the kit 118 1/8" (3000mm) What it does not change Lifting capacity, lifting height, the lift's own installation requirements Collection Delivery or warehouse pickup Read those two figures as a pair. The first is what your lift is today; the second is what it becomes with the kit fitted. Both are the manufacturer's own figures for the distance between the columns, quoted here exactly as they are published, in inches and in millimetres. Will it fit your bay? A wider lift needs a wider bay, and the width it needs is the width between the posts plus everything outside them — the columns themselves, the space to stand behind them, and whatever the manual requires for clearance to a wall or a neighbouring bay. We do not publish an overall footprint or an anchor pattern for the extended configuration, so the honest instruction is this: work the bay out from your own lift's installation manual using the extended width above, and confirm it before you commit. Three checks are worth doing in advance rather than on installation day. Confirm the bay is wide enough for the extended lift with working clearance on both sides, not merely wide enough for the lift to physically stand in. Confirm the anchor layout — the columns land in different places once they move, and the slab under a new anchor position is not automatically the slab you inspected. And confirm the ceiling and any overhead services still work with the columns where they will actually be, since moving them sideways can move them under a beam, a duct or a light. Concrete thickness, concrete strength, slab condition and anchoring are the owner's responsibility, and they are specified by your lift's manual, not by this kit. Nothing on this page replaces that document. Perfect For Truck and van work, where the vehicles arriving are consistently wider than the ones the lift was specified for. Busy shops where one bay takes whatever comes through the door and cannot afford a vehicle it has to turn away. Two-technician bays, where the constraint is people and tools around the vehicle rather than the vehicle itself. New installs of the OH-9 or OH-10 that are being specified properly before the anchors go down. What is in the kit The kit is supplied under number 20906 for the OH-9 and OH-10. We do not publish an itemised parts list for it, so if you need to know exactly what arrives — and particularly whether your installation needs anything additional — ask us before you order and we will confirm it against the manufacturer's documentation rather than guess. Certification and compliance No third-party safety listing is published for this kit on our data, and this page makes no such claim. This is worth a moment's thought here more than on most accessories: where a lift carries a safety listing, that listing describes the lift in the configuration the manufacturer tested. Changing the distance between the columns is a change to that configuration. If a listing status matters to your insurer, your fleet policy or your local inspector, ask the manufacturer how the extended configuration is covered before you order — and ask us, and we will help you get the answer in writing. Delivery and pickup Shipped within the lower 48 or collected from the warehouse, with the delivery cost calculated against your address at checkout rather than estimated on the page. Inspect the shipment before you sign for it. Long steel sections and their fixings are exactly the kind of freight that gets bent at a corner, and the note you write on the delivery paperwork at the time is the entire basis of any later claim. Warranty The manufacturer's terms and how to make a claim are set out on our warranty claims page, and we will send you the current document before you order if the detail matters. If a component fails, photograph it in position and speak to us before anything is taken apart or modified — a part that has already been dismantled is normally treated as modified, which is the quickest way to lose an otherwise good claim.
