AMGO Double-Screw Saddle Adapter, Kit No. 20804 Kit No. 20804 is the screw-type saddle adapter in AMGO's two-post accessory range. It is an insert-mounted adapter — it goes into the arm pad rather than sitting loose on top of it — and it is intended for the SUV and light-truck lift points that a plain round pad deals with badly. The name comes from its pair of screws, and it is those that separate this adapter from the drop-in kind: a screw adapter is set, not merely placed. That is a small distinction with a practical consequence, and it is the reason to read the rest of this page before choosing between the adapters AMGO offers. Lifting a truck is a geometry problem Vehicles are rarely obliging about their lift points. On a pickup or a body-on-frame SUV the designated points may sit at different heights from front to rear, or one side may present a pinch weld while the other presents a rail. Anything under the vehicle that has to clear — a tank, a shield, a step, a running board bracket — narrows the choice further. Left to a standard pad, the technician resolves all of that by eye, and then compensates with the lift. That works, most of the time. What it does not do is make the setup repeatable, and repeatability is what you are really buying when you buy adapters: the same vehicle handled the same way by whoever happens to be on shift. What "double-screw" means for the way you work An adapter that is threaded is one you can set deliberately rather than accept as supplied. Instead of hunting for a stack of pads that happens to add up, the adapter itself is brought to where the vehicle needs it and then left there. On a shop's regular vehicles that turns a fiddly setup into a habit. The honest caveat: we do not publish this adapter's adjustment range, its minimum or maximum height, or its rating, and we are not going to estimate any of them. On a part that goes between a lift arm and a two-ton vehicle, an approximate figure is worse than no figure. If your decision depends on how far it adjusts, ask us before you order and we will get the manufacturer's number rather than offer you ours. Which adapter, and how to decide AMGO's two-post accessory range covers the same problem in more than one way, and the right choice is decided by the vehicle rather than by the lift: This kit, No. 20804 — the double-screw insert adapter for SUVs and light trucks, where being able to set the adapter is worth having. The drop-in saddle for SUVs and light trucks — a formed saddle that takes the frame into it, made for vehicles whose tank sits close to the rail. The heavy-duty truck saddle adapter, kit No. 21103, for frames outside light-truck territory. If you are not certain which describes your work, tell us what you lift rather than which part you think you want. That conversation takes a minute and saves a return. Before you order Confirm your lift. Read the model from the data plate — this is an AMGO two-post accessory, and we will check your model against the current fitment list. Confirm your arms take an insert. This adapter mounts into the pad rather than resting on it, so the arm pad has to accept it. Confirm the vehicle's lift points from the vehicle manufacturer's own documentation. An adapter changes the surface you use; it never changes where you are allowed to lift. Perfect For Mixed independent shops where the next vehicle on the lift is not the same shape as the last one. Tyre, brake and suspension work on SUVs and light trucks, where the lift is set several times a day. Multi-technician bays that want one agreed way to lift the vehicles they see most. Home shops running a truck, where getting the setup right once matters more than getting it done quickly. What is in the box Supplied under kit number 20804 as a saddle adapter for two-post lifts. The manufacturer's listing for this item does not itemise its contents and we will not invent an itemisation — if you need to know exactly what arrives, or whether you need one or a pair for your job, ask us before ordering and we will confirm it. Specifications Kit number 20804 Type Double-screw saddle adapter, insert mounted Intended for SUVs and light trucks Lift type AMGO two-post lifts — confirm your model with us Adjustment range Not published — ask and we will confirm it Collection Delivery or warehouse pickup Certification and compliance There is no third-party safety listing published for this adapter in our data, and none is claimed here. A lift's own listing, where it has one, covers the machine as the manufacturer configured and tested it; how a vehicle is picked up remains the operator's responsibility, guided by the vehicle manufacturer's designated lifting points and the lift's manual. Where an insurer, a fleet standard or a local inspector has a view on adapters, settle it before ordering — and ask us if you would like the manufacturer's documentation to hand while you do. Delivery and pickup This ships anywhere in the lower 48, or you can collect it from the warehouse. The delivery charge is calculated for your address at checkout rather than quoted here in advance. Check what arrives before you sign the paperwork: threads and machined faces are the parts that suffer in transit and the parts a carton hides. Note anything you find on the delivery receipt at the time — after it is signed clean, a claim is very hard to make stick. Warranty Terms and the claim route live on our warranty claims page, and we will send you the current manufacturer document before you buy if the terms matter. If a thread strips or a component deforms, take it out of service, photograph it as it is, and talk to us before anyone attempts a repair. A part that has been welded, ground or dismantled is treated as modified, and on load-bearing hardware that is not a corner worth cutting.
