AMGO J5H Sliding Jack — built for rail-less four-post and scissor lifts Most bridge jacks assume your lift has rails to hang from. The J5H does not. It is a 5,000 lbs sliding jack whose lower assembly carries a plastic slider that glides directly along the runway surfaces, which is what makes it the right answer for a rail-less four-post lift or a scissor lift — the two designs where a conventional rail-mounted bridge jack simply has nowhere to sit. If you have been told your lift cannot take a jack, this is the specification to check before you accept that. It is hand-pumped by a commercial-grade pump, so no air line is required at the bay, and it weighs 238 lbs. Full cycle time is 50 seconds, which is what a manual pump gives you and the honest trade for needing no services at all. Will It Fit Your Lift? Start with the span One number decides this purchase, and it is not the capacity. The extendable lower sliding assembly fits runway spacings from 35 5/8" to 50 1/4". Note where that range starts: this jack wants a reasonably wide-set pair of runways, so a narrow lift can fall below its minimum even though the capacity would be fine. Measure the inside spacing of your own runways with a tape before ordering — brochure figures for lifts are often the outside dimension, and the difference is exactly the amount that turns a fitting jack into a returned one. Runway spacing served: 35 5/8" to 50 1/4". Lift types: rail-less four-post lifts and scissor lifts. Arm pads reach: 33" to 53 7/16", which is what decides whether the pads can reach a vehicle's designated support points. Rise: 14" of lifting height without adapters, 18" with them. Minimum rubber pad height: 5". Jack width: 20" overall. Weight: 238 lbs. Fitment is the buyer's responsibility, and a five-minute measurement removes all the risk from it. If you would rather have us check, send the make and model of your lift and the runway spacing you measured, and we will confirm before you order. Why a slider, not a roller The sliding assembly runs on a plastic slider designed to move smoothly along the runways under load-free repositioning. On a rail-less lift that is the only mechanism available: there is no track to capture a wheel, so the jack has to bear and glide on the runway surface itself. The practical consequences are worth knowing before you buy. It moves easily, so it can be positioned precisely under a lifting point rather than approximately. It also means the runway surfaces matter — a runway with a badly chipped or contaminated top surface will not give a slider an easy life, which is a maintenance point rather than a defect. The ergonomic guardrail is deliberately shaped to double as a booster handle for gliding the jack into position, so repositioning is a push rather than a wrestle. Adapters, arms and reaching the right point Stackable extension adapters come as standard, along with a sturdy rubber pad assembly. Their job is to bridge the distance between a lift runway and a usable lifting point on a chassis, a distance that varies far more between vehicles than most buyers expect — the same jack serves a pickup with high frame rails and a low sedan only because the adapter stack changes. The arms adjust for position too, which means the pads can be set on the vehicle manufacturer's recommended supporting points rather than the nearest flat-looking piece of underbody. On a unibody car that distinction is the difference between a lifted vehicle and a crushed sill. Perfect For Owners of rail-less four-post lifts, who cannot use a rail-mounted bridge jack at all. Scissor lift bays that need wheels-free work from a lift bought for wheels-on service. Shops and garages without compressed air at the lift, since this one needs none. Tire, brake and suspension work, the jobs that require a wheel off a lift that does not lift by the wheels. Home four-post owners using the lift for storage most of the year and for real work occasionally. What's in the Box The jack with its commercial-grade hand pump, stackable extension adapters, a sturdy rubber pad assembly, adjustable arms, the extendable lower sliding assembly with plastic slider, and the guardrail. Beyond that we do not publish an itemised packing list for this model — if you need to know exactly what arrives before you commit, ask and we will check the current list rather than repeat an old description. The difference is one some buyers must care about and others never will: a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity is not the same document as a listing issued by an independent testing body, and particular insurers, fleet operations and local authorities require the latter by name. If that is your situation, tell us before you order and we will find out what documentation is available for this model instead of leaving you to assume. Shipping and Delivery Freight only, to the lower 48, priced live against your address at the checkout so the figure is today's rather than a stale estimate. Getting it off the truck is the customer's arrangement — a forklift, a loading dock, or collection from one of our warehouses. Deliveries to residential addresses carry a residential fee. Inspect before you sign. Damage to arms, pads or a pump handle can hide under packaging, so open it while the driver waits if you are able, photograph whatever you find, and note it on the bill of lading at the time of delivery. Without that note a freight claim has almost nothing to stand on. Warranty Start a claim through our warranty claims page; ask us before you order if the current warranty document would affect your decision and we will send it. And the standing rule for hydraulics: if something fails, photograph it in place and contact us before any part of it is opened up. Once a component has been dismantled it is normally treated as modified, which converts a straightforward claim into a long conversation.
