American Lighting 6-Channel DMX Decoder with RJ45 — PWM Control for RGB, Tunable & Single-Color Tape Light The American Lighting REC-DMX-RJ45-6CH is a 6-channel DMX signal receiver and decoder that translates DMX signals into the PWM control signal used by RGB, tunable white, and single-color LED tape light and neon. Compatible with RJ45, XLR5, or direct wire DMX inputs and outputs, it integrates seamlessly into new and existing DMX installations. Operates in standalone mode or decoder mode, and supports both 8-bit and 16-bit PWM output resolution for precise dimming control. Key Features 6-Channel PWM Output: 6-channel capable output at 6A per channel maximum — 72W per channel at 12V DC or 144W per channel at 24V DC. DMX512 RDM Decoder: Translates DMX512 signals into PWM output for direct control of LED tape light and neon. RJ45, XLR5, or Direct Wire: Features female 5-pin XLR, male 5-pin XLR, and dual RJ45 In/Out connections for flexible integration into any DMX installation. 8-Bit or 16-Bit PWM Resolution: Selectable 8-bit or 16-bit PWM output resolution ratio for smooth, precise dimming performance. PWM Frequency: 500Hz to 30KHz output PWM frequency range. Gamma Correction: 0.1 to 9.9 gamma value output dimming curve range for natural-looking dimming response. Standalone or Decoder Mode: Operates in standalone mode for independent control or decoder mode when integrated into a DMX system. Scalable Installations: Link multiple receivers for larger installs — each unit requires a separate DMX address. Metal Housing with Digital Display: Durable metal enclosure with on-board digital display for easy configuration. Wide Load Compatibility: Compatible with single color, tunable white, and RGB-based neon or tape light. Input Voltage: 12-24V DC constant voltage. Input Current: 36.1A maximum. Output Wattage: 6 × (72–144)W. Output Current: 6 × 6A. Finish: Black. Operating Temperature: 167°F (75°C). Storage/Ambient Temperature: -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C). Certifications: cULus Listed, FCC Compliant, RoHS Compliant. Dry location rated. Connections Female 5-Pin XLR In/Out Male 5-Pin XLR In/Out RJ45 In/Out (×2) LED output terminals (6 channels) 12-24V DC constant voltage input ⚠ Important Installation Notes Receiver can be powered from the secondary side of the driver being used to power the controller and/or fixture. Do not connect more than one power supply to the input side of the decoder. Requires a 12-24V DC constant voltage driver and DMX controller for operation — both sold separately. What's Included (1) DMX Receiver/Decoder Requires 12-24V DC power supply and DMX control — sold separately.
