American Crew Defining Paste 85g is a medium-hold, low-shine styling paste built for textured, lived-in men's looks. The wax-and-lanolin formula stays pliable in the hair so you can rework the style during the day, while the matte finish keeps the look natural rather than overly slick. A modern barber-shop staple for short to medium lengths. About American Crew American Crew was founded in 1994 by hairstylist David Raccuglia and is widely credited with pioneering the modern men's grooming category. The brand sits at the centre of barbershop styling worldwide, with a product line built on classical hold-and-finish principles rather than trend-driven gimmicks. Defining Paste is one of the line's most enduring everyday styling products. It works particularly well for messy quiffs, side parts, textured crops and modern slick-back-with-movement looks. Suitable for all hair types. How to use Towel-dry hair until just damp, or apply to fully dry hair for stronger texture. Scoop a small amount (roughly the size of a 5p coin) and warm it between the palms until clear and pliable. Work evenly through the hair, distributing from the roots out for fullness or from mid-lengths for definition. Shape with fingers or a comb.
