Unlock Solar Power Freedom with the 160W Self-Adhesive Monocrystalline Fibreglass Semi-Flexible Solar Panel Are you considering a lightweight semi-flexible solar panel for your caravan, motorhome, RV, boat, or yacht? Perhaps you're eyeing a sustainable energy solution for your home, farm, or garden office. Your quest concludes here. These solar panels combine reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness with an appealing payback period. Suitable for flat or curved roofs, they cater to stationary domestic, industrial, and commercial buildings, carports, hangars, farms, garden offices, and similar metal rooftops. Features: 100% MADE IN AUSTRIA: Crafted to the highest European quality standards using Austrian and German components. IEC certified for unparalleled reliability. UPGRADE FOR MORE POWER: The textured surface of this solar panel minimizes light reflection while maximizing light absorption from every possible angle. This ensures optimal performance in low light or cloudy conditions, or when sunlight hits at an angle (morning, evening, or winter). Fitted with a 2 x 0.9m cable (4.0mm2 cross-section) with waterproof MC4 connectors, facilitating easy connectivity within your existing system or when linking several panels together. FAST INSTALLATION: This panel boasts peelable adhesive backing, ensuring instant fitting. Peel off the backing, stick down, connect, and you're done. DURABLE, DUST & WATER RESISTANT: Meticulously designed in plastic reinforced with glass fibre, creating a robust and enduring solar panel. The fibreglass plastic used is exceptionally strong and durable. Soft and sealed edges enhance resilience to mechanical impact on the sides, preventing long-term delamination. High resistance to saltwater environments and a sealed waterproof design make this solar panel perfect for boats and marine applications. SUPERIOR WARRANTY: Backed by a 5-year workmanship warranty covering material and production defects, providing peace of mind. FREE TWO-WORKING DAY SHIPPING: Order by 5 PM on a working day for prompt delivery (delivery times may vary to the Scottish Highlands, Islands, and Northern Ireland). Maximum Bending Guidelines: The maximum height of the arch of a bent solar module depends on the length of the module. Examples: 50 cm - 16 mm; 80 cm - 40 mm; 100 cm - 62 mm; 120 cm - 89 mm; 140 cm - 121 mm; 150 cm - 139 mm; 170 cm - 178 mm; 200 cm - 245 mm. Avoid excessive or multiple bending when handling the modules. The minimum bending radius is specified for permanent mounting on a curved surface and isn't designed for periodic bending. Ensure uniform curvature across the entire length of the module to prevent permanent damage to the solar cells. Detailed specifications Rated (Peak) Power (Wp): 160W in Standard 1000w/m2 solar light Open Circuit Voltage (Voc): 22.0V (Vmp =18.2V) Short Circuit Current (Isc): 9.4A (Imp = 9.0A) Cell Type: Monocrystalline Silicon Connector Type: MC4 Certification: IEC Net Weight: 3.65 KG Size: 1434 X 699 X 2 mm Installation Guidelines: Warning! Follow the installation instructions meticulously. Any work on solar modules, including wiring, must adhere to general safety standards in conjunction with these installation instructions. Always entrust such tasks to a duly qualified professional. Energian and Photonic Universe disclaim responsibility for any issues arising from inappropriate installation or product use. In addition to the Photonic Universe installation instructions, it is advisable to adhere to the guidelines outlined in the BS IEC 62548:2016 "Photovoltaic (PV) arrays — Design requirements" standard. Gluing: The module can be affixed to the surface using an appropriate sealant/adhesive. We recommend SikaFlex 554 super-strong solar panel adhesive for securing solar panels. This adhesive is optimal for fastening solar panels to motorhomes, boats, or caravans. Suitable surfaces include metals, especially aluminum (including anodized), sheet steel (also phosphate, chromate, and galvanized), primers and lacquers (2K systems), ceramic materials, and plastics. It's suitable for securing marine or semi-flexible solar panels to the deck or wheelhouse of a boat. Sikaflex 554 is entirely resistant to saltwater and can endure the harsh sea conditions. Moreover, Sikaflex solar panel adhesive is designed to withstand the most extreme weather conditions. When using a sealant/adhesive, refrain from utilizing the module until the adhesive is dry (typically 24h). Before permanent installation, we recommend assessing the module's performance by measuring the open circuit voltage (Voc) and short circuit current (Isc) in bright direct sunlight with no obstructions, and comparing it to the specifications. To achieve readings close to specifications, ensure the sun is high in the clear sky, and the module is facing the sun directly. Adhesive Tape Bonding: Warning! The double-sided adhesive tape on the module forms a robust immediate bond on most smooth, hard surfaces and does not allow repositioning. Attempting to remove the module, even if partially attached, can cause severe damage to the solar cells. To affix the module using the double-sided adhesive tape, follow the Photonic Universe installation instructions. For semi-flexible solar panel installations on pop-top roofs, metal roofs, and smooth surfaces, we recommend using a 3M Mounting Kit. Self-Adhesive Panel Installation: Self-adhesive solar modules adhere directly to the roof material rather than being mounted on racking, as is the case with traditional rigid solar panels. Installation is straightforward. Begin by preparing the roof with a cleaning agent, then remove the protective plastic from the back, and securely roll the module into place.
