Thermal Operation Utilises a thermal mechanism to detect and react to sustained over-current conditions. Ignition Protection Certified to international standards (SAE J1625, J1171, UL1500) for safe use in environments with flammable vapours. Typical Applications Application Area Use Case Solar & Wind Systems Connecting charge controllers to batteries, or between off-grid inverter DC inputs and batteries. DC Power Distribution Protection for general DC power distribution or charging circuits. Automotive & Marine Suitable for various DC automotive and marine applications requiring over-current protection. Built-In Protection Functions This circuit breaker is designed with multiple layers of protection to ensure system safety. It provides automatic over-current protection against high power draw, short-circuits, and wiring mistakes. The unit is constructed from UL94V-0 rated thermal plastic, offering excellent flame retardancy. Furthermore, its IP67 rating ensures it is water-resistant and protected against dust ingress, making it suitable for challenging environments. It also meets international standards S.A.E. J1625, J1171, and UL1500, certifying its ignition protection for marine and other applications where flammable vapours may be present. Common Questions What is the main advantage over a traditional fuse? Unlike a traditional fuse, this circuit breaker is resettable. After an over-current event, you can simply reset it, eliminating the need to replace a blown fuse. It also functions as a manual On/Off switch. Can this breaker be used outdoors or in marine environments? Yes, with an IP67 waterproof rating, it is protected against dust and temporary immersion in water. Additionally, it is ignition protected (SAE J1625, J1171, UL1500), making it safe for use in marine and automotive applications where flammable vapours may be present. What voltage systems is this circuit breaker compatible with? This circuit breaker is designed for a wide range of DC system voltages, specifically 12V, 24V, and 48V. How is this circuit breaker mounted? This circuit breaker is intended for surface mounting. Installation Notes Ensure the circuit breaker's 150A rating matches or exceeds your circuit's maximum continuous current draw. Always disconnect power from the DC system before attempting installation or maintenance. Mount the breaker securely on a flat surface, ensuring proper ventilation if in an enclosed space. Use appropriate M6 terminals and ensure all connections are tight and secure to prevent resistance and heat build-up. Observe correct polarity when connecting to your DC system. Before You Buy Verify the 150A rating is suitable for your specific application and connected loads. Confirm compatibility with your DC system voltage (12V, 24V, or 48V). Consider the physical dimensions (74 x 48 x 37 mm) and mounting requirements for your installation space. For complex installations, consult with a qualified electrician or solar installer. Review all local electrical codes and safety regulations for DC circuit protection. Please ensure all specifications and compatibility requirements are thoroughly checked before purchase.
