Designed for extreme durability and high energy yield, this panel is fully flexible and walkable, making it the perfect solution for curved surfaces on motorhomes, yachts, and specialized industrial rooftops where traditional rigid panels cannot be installed. RELIABILITY: Built with Swedish-engineered CIGS cells that are shatterproof and crack-resistant. Unlike crystalline panels, these maintain performance even under mechanical stress or partial shading. Key Features ✔ Self-Adhesive Backing: Simple peel-and-stick installation. ✔ Walkable Design: Shatterproof construction for deck/roof access. ✔ Superior Shading: Integrated bypass diodes between every cell. ✔ Ultra-Thin: Only 2mm profile for a discreet, aerodynamic finish. OEM & Series Reference SKU Reference SELM3-120 Series SELM3 Series CIGS Flexible Technology Thin-Film Copper Indium Gallium Selenide Installation Guide 1. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and free of grease. 2. Test position the panel before removing the adhesive backing. 3. Peel the protective layer and apply pressure evenly across the panel surface. 4. Connect to a suitable MPPT or PWM charge controller (recommended for 12V battery systems). Note: Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct electrical sealing in marine environments. Questions & Answers Is this panel truly walkable? Yes. Because CIGS technology does not use fragile crystalline silicon cells, the panel is shatterproof. You can safely walk on it with soft-soled shoes once it is fully adhered to a solid surface. How does it handle shade compared to regular panels? The SELM3-120 features bypass diodes between every single cell. In a standard panel, shading 10% of the surface can drop output by 50-80%; with this CIGS panel, you only lose the power from the specific cells that are shaded. Do I need to drill holes for mounting? No. This panel uses an industrial-strength self-adhesive backing. It is designed to be "peel-and-stick," preserving the integrity of your roof or boat deck. Note: Solarika.co.uk recommends using a high-quality solar charge controller with this unit to protect your battery system.
